Daltry/Lovejoy take a turn atop our final weekly update this month, trailed by Jim Kushner and Rob LaColla. Our new leaders and seven other entrants gained a point when Wade Davis earned a save in yet another Royal comeback against the struggling White Sox.

The most popular investment of this year's pool is paying major dividends: Clayton Kershaw is responsible for over half of the 88 correct picks in today's update…

See you next Monday!

Mark Watzke jumps into first place in weekly update #4… Craig Kimbrel’s 12th save yesterday pushed Mark over the resurgent Daltry/Lovejoy tandem, who make their first top three update appearance this week.

D/L currently boast two unique picks in AL batting, scoring with Xander Bogaerts (BA) and Todd Frazier (HR). Four other entrants own leaders to themselves: Anthony Podvin (CanĂ³ AL RBI), Danton Boller (Price AL SO), Jim Kushner (Britton AL S), and Mike Levine (Arrieta NL ERA).

Hopefully we’ll find time to get the next weekly update out on Monday—otherwise we’ll see you on Tuesday!

Danton Boller maintains his lead with five correct picks in weekly update #3. Three entrants sit close behind with higher HBP totals than Danton, including Daltry/Lovejoy (owners of an impressive Todd Frazier AL HR pick)…

Brandon Guyer continues to accumulate tiebreaker points at an historic rate, currently getting hit by a pitch once in every 7.25 plate appearances! The HBP tiebreaker has been necessary to determine our winner in three of the last four years.

Danton Boller leads with six correct picks in our second weekly update, followed by Rob LaColla and Mark Watzke. Danton’s unique pick of David Price for AL SO has allowed him to spend six days alone at the top this month.

Our seven entrants with the highest tiebreaker totals have something in common: they all chose Tampa Bay’s Brandon Guyer for AL HBP. Guyer has already been hit nine times this season, and seems likely to shatter Chase Utley’s all-time pool record for batters (27 in 2008).

Our first weekly update finds Rob LaColla and Mark Watzke in a tie for first atop the 2016 MLB Predictions Pool. Our current leaders’ seven correct picks are the most in an opening pool update since 2007.

We’ve already had our share of injuries, both short- and long-term. Cleveland’s Carlos Carrasco (hamstring strain) was chosen by four entrants for wins or ERA… While Carrasco could return by the end of May, Charlie Morton’s torn hammy will cost him the entire year. The ex-Pirate posted double-digit HBP totals in each of the past three seasons, and was selected by four of us this year.

Thanks again to Brian Wells for making daily full-pool updates possible on our blog and on Twitter (@PredictionsPool). Regular weekly reports will still be sent by email on Mondays.

One of our entrants has decided not to remain in the pool this year, but our $440 jackpot is still intact. Big thanks to everyone for getting our entry fees in by the end of April.

See you next Monday!
